Kirklees Council filmed four of their residents who found benefit from using the digital TV service. They are all core customers for this electronic, self-service channel, here you can see their different stories ....
Carol's story shows how digital TV can help those who are housebound, or virtually housebound. Carol runs a book club on digital TV and is a great advocate of the community spirit of the service. She choses a book and writes up her views on it, and others comment on the choice and they share their opinions. Not core local government business, but Carol's Book Club is a great example of community engagement and offering a means of communication to those without a PC and who are not so mobile.
