Over 80 Local Authorities currently have dedicated DiTV and mobile services that they have designed and published using the DigiTV Starter Kit. However for the benefit of usability, DigiTV is keen that no citizen investigating the DiTV service gets a ‘dead-end’. Therefore when one enters a postcode or town name of an area that does not have dedicated site, we are keen that they do not get a blank screen.  To that end DigiTV has created a one page site for all Local Authorities, so that there are no cul-de-sacs.

These sites are useful in their own right offering a range of services from national providers:

- Jobcentre Plus (nationwide job search facility)

- Transport Direct (train timetables as well as travel and traffic news)

- Legal Services Commission (Legal advice and the ability to find local legal services)

- GP Services

Each one pager also has the name and contact details of the authority that covers that area and a questionnaire about what the citizen would like to see from their council if they were engaged.

DigiTV is happy to share how many ‘hits’ there have been on your page as well as any responses to the questions that have been logged. Of course these services are not promoted locally, so users have ‘chanced’ upon your service, rather than seen any advertising or press coverage telling them it is there.
